The Railway Computer RML-R 82 is based on Intel’s x6000E series (Elkhart Lake). Compared to its predecessor, the Syslogic rolling stock computer has almost twice the computing power with comparable power consumption. It also supports real-time applications with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN). With the x6000E platform, the embedded railway computer is ready for future railroad applications.
The Railway Computer RML-R 82 features serial COM interfaces and is expandable with digital I/O or analog inputs. It provides a power supply of at least 10 milliseconds in case of a power failure, in compliance with EN50155, class S2. Additionally, it meets all requirements for shock and vibration, EMC (electromagnetic compatibility), and electrical insulation according to EN61373. The railway computer meets the fire protection standard for railway vehicles according to EN45545-2.
It can be configured with a wide range of power inputs for DC voltage between 16.8 and 137.5 volts and includes an ignition controller. Additionally, it can be configured with 4G/LTE (UMTS/GSM fallback) to enable high-accuracy GNSS function. This feature provides the computer with positioning accuracy of one to two centimeters through RTK (Real Time Kinematic) surveying.
